I am so pleased you shared my story. Thank...Missy,

I am so pleased you shared my story. Thank you! I started out with such high hopes of being a perfect mother to my children. It was a bigger challenge than I expected. But love makes up for everything!

Writing can help so much as we work our way through the experiences of our lives. I am so grateful you are sharing some of your stories with us this month, Missy. Thanks so much Sue for sharing. ...Love!love!love! Thanks so much Sue for sharing. I have felt this so much and my kids aren't fully grown. This feeling of imperfection in motherhood and God showing us what He really thinks about it/us is why i write what i do now.Missy Fillionhttp://www.facebook.com/MissyFillionnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3463563732011894726.post-75269597934432319632012-05-18T16:23:44.760+10:002012-05-18T16:23:44.760+10:00Tami,
Thank you so much for sharing my story and ...Tami,

Thank you so much for sharing my story and for your kind words.

We had a glass dropping incident recently too! And it didn't worry me either. But it might have done years ago. I look back and wonder how I could have got so concerned and upset over the little things of life. I think you are quite right: we learn what is really important as we grow older. We also find out how forgiving our children are. It's love that matters, not perfection.

Thank you for stopping to say hello.

God bless you!Sue Elvishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04461161335483760142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3463563732011894726.post-59151973363908933802012-05-18T15:10:13.714+10:002012-05-18T15:10:13.714+10:00Tears came to my eyes as I read this. Absolutely Beautiful!

As our oldest is 23 on his own, and our next is 21 and graduating from college this weekend, and our 13 year old growing up fast I have found your story to be so true. Just the other day our 13yo was getting a glass for water and it dropped, in a thousand pieces! In the past I would have been upset but no, not this time. I quietly said,

"Oh honey, look out for the glass" I then pick her up to get her out of danger and cleaned it up.

Never upset all all. Would I have done this with the boys? Maybe or maybe not.

I think we grow into better more relaxed parents as we grow older. We realize having everything perfect all the time or having our kids perfect all the time no longer matter. All that really matter is that we love and appreciate God for all that He has give us.Tamihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08933754163111513126noreply@blogger.com
