I try to make learning other subjects more interesting but at the end of the day, a child has his or her favourites, like we did as children, and we need to work with those areas more perhaps.Petranoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3463563732011894726.post-37741449025377699282013-08-17T20:09:18.703+10:002013-08-17T20:09:18.703+10:00Kelly,

Maybe they think they are not relevant to their situation. In some ways I understand because stories of suffering are not easy reading. But I think we can all learn a lot from each other's experiences, whether it be grief or something else. As you said, we can support people better if we have a greater understanding of what they are going through. Generally we all increase in compassion when we share. And with grief, some time in our lives it will happen to everybody, though in different ways. Why am I writing all this when you have already said the same thing in fewer words??

Chari, thank you so much for sharing my story and for your comment.

God bless you!Sue Elvishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04461161335483760142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3463563732011894726.post-53939716014473245812012-09-12T18:41:35.417+10:002012-09-12T18:41:35.417+10:00Chari,

I didn't think I could do it. Then Suzie Andres said she was going to do NaNo too and asked me to join her. I went back to your post and had another read and decided I would give it a go after all! As you know, I did write a novel in 30 days. Unlike you, my novel is still waiting to be fine tuned and published!

It's scary sharing with other people, isn't it? When my grief book was published, I was excited for about ten minutes. Then I thought, "What if everyone hates it?" I got very scared at the prospect of sharing. But you have no need to worry. Your novel is good! I hope everyone takes the time to read it.

God bless.Sue Elvishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04461161335483760142noreply@blogger.com
